An Interview with.......
Kellie Winnell
Location: Australia
Blog/website address: Give a Girl a Blog - kelliewinnell.typepad.com
Hobbies:
I actually have a few hobbies, but it all boils down to creativity and crafts. Lately I am loving knitting. Learning something new every week. As to what you can do with a garter stitch. One day I will learn another. Loving weaving. Of course my project life and project my life play a huge roll in my hobby and life.
When did you start scrapping and/or smashing and Project Life?
I started paper crafting in 2006. From there I went to scrapbooking to cardmaking, to cardmaking in more detail with coloured images, to scrapbooking, to smash books, to project life. I now try and do a little of everything and not just restrict myself to the one paper craft, as I used to.
What do you like about scrapping and/or smashing and Project Life?
I've always loved being creative since I was a little girl. I love project life and other paper crafts as it allows me to still have that same love as an adult.
Who are the main people in your pages?
The main people always featured are my girls and myself, add in our dog as well. I am married, some might be surprised, but he hates photographs and so rarely makes an appearance.
Who inspires you?
I honestly don't just have the one person that inspires me, but many.
What’s your favourite quote?
A day without laughter, is a day wasted.
What’s one piece of advice you would give?
Be yourself. Take inspiration from people, but be yourself.

Bad Blogger
I've been a bad blogger lately, I've been so busy getting things ready for my New Zealand holiday as well as looking after my niece that I've forgotten to get on and blog.
Have decided that I'm going to do things my way and going to start getting back into what I love doing which is creating layouts, using my smashbooks and Sn@p albums... I'm not going to get hung up in Project Life as I've realised it's just not for me it's time to do what makes me happy. I'm going to do a monthly album but not going to get too hung up on it. I've been creating layouts and having fun doing them again.
I will leave you with a sneak of a layout I've done for Scrap The Girls April challenge, you will have to wait till the 1st April to see it all

So much happening
This year I plan on blogging more and just letting everything out of my head.
This month has had its up and downs already, was going pretty good, till I got a call from a detective in Newcastle in regards to an incident that happened to me when I was 14, so 25 years ago, her call was so unexpected and brought back some really bad memories. I met with her and her partner on the 15th & 16th January, on the Wednesday mum came with me and they separated us and one took mum's statement while the other took mine, on Thursday dad came with me and he gave his statement to one of them while I finished giving my statement to the other detective. I was so mentally and emotionally drained at the end of both days and all the bad memories had come up again and brought to the front, I had put it all in the back of my mind till then. I now just have to wait to find out when the trial will be and go to court.
This year I decided I was going to do Project Life properly and instead of monthly do weekly, I am really enjoying it and am up to date, here are my spreads up to week 3
Also there is a new challenge up over at Scrap the Girls, with a really easy sketch, I decided to do a layout about my One Little Word, Nourish. Which I'm finding really is the right word for me this year, here is my layout
